I am going to try my hand at glass bedding my 10/22 using Brownell's kit. The actions shifts around just a bit in the Boyd's stock I got for it and have to really crank the action screw down to stop it.

My question is for those of you who have done this before......what are the best spots to concentrate on to really make it solid?

Around the lug in the back and about an inch of receiver and the screw area in the front.
Use plenty of release agent.
Depending on the kit determines how much trouble you will have.
Standard acraglas(runny) the creamy or a paste like microbed.
Take all parts out of rec.
Fill all areas you don't want bedding to go.
Especially as barrel retainer screw area and inside of rec.
with modeling clay before applying release agent.
mash some clay around the two screws holding the barrel to rec.
if the bedding gets around them you may never get the rec out.
put release agent on the screw threads.

check youtube and you may find a video
