YukonGlocker, I do know the Ruger uses some MIM parts because my son has the SR1911 Govt model. I can live with that, at least for awhile. I am going to order some grips, a couple of extra mags (10rounders) and maybe a Brass or Gold bead front sight sometime in the near future.

grwd, I am no expert, but I always prefer my 1911s to stay as close to JMB design as possible. ie, NO firing pin blocks. It wasn't needed 100 years ago and it is not need now. I won't debate the trigger pull because I know you can get a great trigger with the lock work in place. I just prefer that it not be there as in the Kimber Series I

I'm kinda partial to my Sig C3. Alloy frame, Commander length slide on Officer's size grip. Grips are by Cherokee Hills out of AL. Top notch.
