Note that Yahoo! also reported that the Iranians "quashed" a nationwide protest over fuel price increases.

They sure want us to know that Iran ain't some backwards country that's weak or something.

I'd still like to see an in-depth analysis of the passenger list. I'm still speculating there was someone or thing on that plane that they wanted and failed to catch before takeoff.

I Haven't seen an in-depth analysis of the passenger list on flight 655, but I'm sure that @ConstitutionCowboy would speculate that Roger's felt there was someone or something aboard that was less than kosher.

Rogers believed that the airplane approaching his position posed a threat. No one outside the circle of some Iranian officials knows the circumstances that bade them to shoot down the Ukrainian airliner which leaves that incident up to speculation. What do you think happened? Got anything to add besides inflammatory comments and irrelevance?
