The ordinance defines "assault weapons" as semi-automatic firearms designed with military features to allow rapid spray firing for the quick and efficient killing of humans.

I spent about 6 months at Ft. Carson doing a remodel!! The amount of young adults and other folks living on the streets in that city is a way worse problem that Boulder should be addressing!! Can't see a real world problem for the stupid getting in the way!!!

Colorado has a weird Constitution that prevents the state from preempting “home rule cities” on certain issues. They also have a state law preempting cities’ ability to regulate firearms. Denver’s assault weapons ban has survived court scrutiny. We’ll see what happens in Boulder...
