I want to try to build my own rimfire rifle using the "Anyone can build this rifle" publication by Jerry Lindsey, it is for the Remington model 6. Has anyone tried this...can it be done for a .22 magnum?

The question has been submitted...I hope to get a reply soon. This looks like a fun summer project.

I've got plenty of projects already going (sitting on the bench gathering dust) right now.
But maybe next winter when cabin fever comes a knocking on the door again.
I recieved the following from Jerry:
"I have confirmed with other gunsmiths and builders that .22 mag should be perfectly fine in this design. The only thing I would change is the material of the breech block, I believe I would use carbon steel and harden it after all machining processes have been done. If you're not comfortable with the heat treating, there should be someone in your locale that can do that for a few dollars, even a welding shop might do it for you. If you are pleased with the book please write a brief review to whichever seller you purchased from. thanks, Jerry"
