Casa Bonita started in OKC

Ate at the one in Casa Bonita many times. Crystal's as well.

Ate at the Denver location in the 70s and later in OKC and Tulsa. My kids thought it was the greatest place in the world.

Worked at Casa Bonita in 1975 during my junior year in high school. The highlight was the young ladies that worked there. Hotter then the tamales! It was a fun place to work even when you were elbow deep in enchilada sauce.

I went to the one in Tulsa twice. Once in 2002 and once in 2004. I didn't like it and wasn't impressed. Not surprised it went out of business.

I knew there was one in Denver, OKC and Tulsa. I thought Denver was the first one.

I heard that the Denver location had a cliff diver.

Garth Brooks used to like to take his kids to the one in Tulsa, fwiw....

When I was a kid in Claremore during the mod-late 70s, Casa Bonita was THE place. On a Friday or Saturday night, folks would be lined up. It was the only restaurant that my parents would wait in line for.

As a teen, we used to go to lake ,camping w/my buddies, then go eat there on Sunday afternoon.

I never went there but my FIL always talked about going there and getting caught in the "potty" line if you asked where the bathroom way...or something along those lines.

It was an OKC institution and the owner wrote a book about it, though for life of me I cannot remember the title of it.
