CD Rates, best interest rates around here?

Have her get an RCB My Interest checking account. It yields 3.1%. That's way better than any savings account, money market account or CD that you'll find.

I bonds are paying a little over 3% and are state and federal tax free. 1 year minimum ownership and $5k annual purchase limit per ss#. Safer than bank offered products. The rate is based on inflation and adjusts twice a year.
