Piece of cake Timothy. Remove the flash hider. Loosen the allen heads on the bottom of the gas block. The gas block and tube will just slide out of the upper and barrel nut in one piece. With the armorers wrench, remove the barrel nut.
Replace the barrel nut with the one that came with your hand guard. Screw the new hand guard on and tighten the Allen’s that clamp it to the barrel nut. Reinstall the gas block and tube. Replace flash hider.

Darren that new long hand guard will most likely require he re-install gas tube and block before installing new hand guard.

Don't forget barrel nut torque - 34 ftlbs for those. Easy peasy and don't forget your moly-di grease on the threads. Those barrel nuts usually take a 13/16 crows foot so you can torque. RFT works if you don't have a torque wrench but not recommended. No loc-tite except you can use blue on the handguard screws.

Need some pics of the gas block. If it's pinned, all bets are off.
