Change AR handguard. Help recieved!!!

I have the AR, I have the handguard, what I don't have is any idea of what I'm doing.

I could use some help if anyone knows how to change these out.

Well, it was already loose, so I got this far with it.

I think so? Just the guard and the barrel nut.

Are the barrel nuts the same size? Looks like you’re about done

Not sure. Seems I lack the required wrench. Also looks like the gas tube goes through the old handguard nut?

You have a brand/model on the new one? What barrel nut do you currently have?

If there's nothing to go between your nut and your receiver, What I would do is loosen up the allen head screws on the bottom of your new handguard, and slide that dude onto your new setup. Give yourself a good 1/16 of an inch, maybe 1/32, of gap between the handguard and your reciever. Make sure its all straight, and clamp that puppy down with those allen screws. Shoot it, make sure you love it, and youre set.

Here's what i have. Old HG is larger in diameter than the new HG.
