It varies by property. Most free play must be used within 24 hours once claimed (when won as a prize). When earned through play, it can be redeemed bit by bit as you like. Some places have a 365 day account balance. Any unused points over a year old are lost. Again, that's some properties. Other properties keep earned points indefinitely. It is an option they have when configuring their PT system - which in Durant's case is Oasis - not that it matters what system they have!

Sorry, this is what I do for a living! Casino gaming stuff!

You’re the man! That’s interesting, I had no idea that the free play fell into two different categories. Another question, in Oklahoma the slots are based on Bingo. So, do the machines use random number generators, or something similar?

That's what we do. The Tonkawa tribe has two casino's. Both offer Veterans one free meal a month $20 and under plus $10 free play every Wednesday.
Put in the free play and every time it hits, cash out and get the ticket. Left with $180 bucks once and sometimes carry a 25 cent ticket to the cash out machine, but I can honestly say I've never used a dime of my money. The tribes don't have an issue with taking all the money they can from anybody walking in the door so I don't mind taking back from them.
Personally, spending that $10 free play is totally boring. I just don't get the allure of sitting in front of a machine with the drone of other machines in the background and call it entertainment.
I never see folks jumping up and down with hands up screaming I WON! I WON! like you see on the commercials. Most are walking around like zombies because they just lost their rent money.
We're going to be close to your neck of the woods in about 6 weeks. We are getting things ready for the 'Fancy Dance Casino' that they are building on the intersection of I35 and 412, north of Perry. Right now, the schedule for our team is to begin work out there in the 2nd week of July.

There are more than 2 categories of free play. It can be awarded via promotions (bulk mailers to current club card holders, drawings, earned through play, and by other means).

Regarding the games, 85% of them are no longer based on Bingo. That's what the compacts brought in many years ago, class 3 gaming, just like Vegas. All games, be them bingo based (class 2) or true chance (class 3) work off of RNG's. On class 2, the RNG's determine the bingo ball call. On class 3's, the RNG's determine the VRS's. All gaming machines by law have to have RNG's. How those RNG's work, and how games are designed to pay out X percentage (calculated over the lifespan of the machine) is another matter, but they are 100% random and chance games, regardless of what anyone's theory is. The only skill based items allowed in the games are in some 'bonus rounds' of some games. These are VERY few and far between, and most of the time, not that popular. I used to develop the math for some games back in the day, and my current job requires me to work with all of the big gaming manufacturers with their new products, learning how it works, building configs for the casinos, etc. Trust me, I've heard every kind of theory out there on how to beat the games. Back in the analog days, a brilliant mathematician with a pencil, paper, and a lot of time could've figured something out (and one did about 15 years ago in Oklahoma!). It's not illegal to be smarter than the people who design the games. With technology today, this is no longer the case. All games also require third party testing to insure integrity before the games are allowed in any particular jurisdiction. All games in Oklahoma are tested by one of the two biggest independent testing labs out there, GLI and BMM.

So my theory of making two counter clockwise circles on the screen with the social finger and banging the side of the machine three times afterward doesn't work? Actually it wasn't my theory, but there was a little promo screen next to a news feed that said casino's don't want you to do this but they can't stop you from doing this. There was a whole lot of advertisements in the link. Did I hit a click bait? :pms2:

Definitely hit click bait! Those ads crack me up!

Not to discount your middle finger circle/machine slapping technique, but the best one I ever saw was this lady who had a 10"x10" laminated astrological calendar and would rub it on the screen while the reels spun. I had to leave before I busted out laughing!!
