Crickett .22 Rifle

I’m looking to buy one of those small KSA single shot rifles that can use 22 shorts, long, and long rifle rounds. I’d like to get one and just tuck it away for my daughter when she’s older or when my niece and nephew come to visit so they can learn. Doesn’t have to be pink, but would prefer the cheaper plastic stock over one the laminate ones. Not a deal breaker if it’s laminate. Just a preference.

Don’t mind ordering a newer Gen2 one through a shop if no one has one collecting dust. Figured I’d check here first.

Be careful using .22 shorts. I had one get lodged in the barrel of a Cricket .22.

If you see any savage rascals for sale they are very nice. It cocks the rifle when you open the bolt like a normal rifle. The crickets have to be cocked after loading by pulling on a plunger at the rear of the bolt. It can be difficult for kids and it’s not really a skill they need to learn to move on to bigger rifles in the future. The rascal also has a great trigger ,and is only $30-$40 more than the Cricket. Just my .02
