I hear ya. My food plot is in a clearing in the woods, but not far from a field normally planted in wheat. Years that the wheat goes and the timing is the same as my food plot, my food plot will not draw much. At least not the deer. Always lots of rabbits.

Thanks for all of the advise. I found a 50lb food plot mix at farmers grain in Edmond for $24.95 and will add some turnips. I have had good luck on wheat in the past and going to try a little brassica. Thanks again for the info.

Keep in mind the brassica's won't be palatable to deer until we have a freeze. Most deer won't touch them until then.
