Played in a golf tournament where part of the prizes were gift certificates from Dicks. Won $100.00 gift certificate from dicks and wanted a new driver. Went to dicks, and with the $100.00 certificate, the driver was still $50.00 higher than I could get anywhere in the country.
I used it on Pro V balls (that were also over priced)

We have looked around in there a few times. We are always surprised at the prices and know we can get the same cheaper somewhere else. We've never bought anything from there.

I've never seen a AR or handguns at the Moore location. Prices too high. Nothing I really want.

Dicks, The name pretty much tells you what you are going to encounter when you enter their stores.
I will spend my money elsewhere.

Why? There's always Academy or even Walmart. Friends don't let friends shop at Dick's.

Welp, I guess you can go there and buy a $300 jogging suit or maybe even a $75 t-shirt that says something like "I like Dicks" on it.

Ok, so I think I've gotten this a lil clearer in my mind. Dicks sporting goods already quit selling "assault rifles" (their terminology) 6yrs ago after Sandy Hook shooting. This new announcement means they will quit selling them in their field and stream stores that only started selling them after sandy hook. If this is wrong, please correct me. This explains why I was trying to figure out how they were gonna quit selling a firearm I hadn't seen in my couple trips to Dicks Sporting Goods.
