Nope. Any synthetic 10w-30 will work. Just remember that it takes far less than a quart to fill it. Mine is on it's 18th season.

The Magnuson Moss Warranty Act was enacted to prohibit requiring branded oils and filters as a condition of warranty coverage, so I'm gonna say no. The manufacturer can set specifications for the oil, but they can't require that you use their oil.

Honda doesn't refine oil, nor bottle it. I worked for awhile in the Compounding and canning plant at the Conoco refinery. We bottled several different brands every day.
The Honda warranty should specify the oil's requirements they need to keep the warranty into effect. Match or surpass that and your good to go.
