Mine is really quiet with my obsidian 45. With the Wolfman on it… even better.If memory serves, it's quieter than a suppressed blackout bolt gun with subs.
I flinch from noise, especially indoors. Double up on hear protection and I’m good.We always load the 6 shooters with 5 good rounds and one shot round.
You will know if you are flinching and this can break you of it.
Wife and son never flinch so no reason a grown man should flinch.

When I carried one for a living, yes. Our agency insisted upon duty rounds for all training.
