Anyone got a good recipe for dove breast?
We carried along oranges and potatoes and onions with us with a cast iron skillet and a can of Crisco. (Salt and pepper to taste )
We would limit in the morning, then cook up the dove for lunch and limit again then go home to bacon wrapped dove breast.
I work some bacon, jalapeño and some Swiss or cream cheese in there somewhere. Hey it together with a toothpick and grill, bake or smoke itAnyone got a good recipe for dove breast?

One of the terraces in the field was holding water, the teal sitting in it weren’t even flinching when we shot. Saw about 100 resident geese that wanted to be there too. The shooting did keep them away but next Saturday might be good.SLOW opener in kingfisher county. Shot 2 birds all day. On a positive note....the teal have started showing up!!!! And we have good amounts of water....might be a good teal season this year!
