One thing is for certain, a lot of politicians have lost money that they invested in EV's. We cannot get away from petroleum, it greases most machinery-of course they have synthetics but still oil is the preferred product. Cut oil production and the economy suffers, people are out of work, prices go up on most items to include clothing, medicine, cosmetics, plastics, synthetic rubber, asphalt, etc because oil is imported but we already know that.

100% agree. The only reason the EV market is as big as it is, is because of tax dollars. If it weren’t for yours and my hard earned money the Tesla giga factory wouldnt exist. Now I like musk for a lot of stuff. And I don’t blame him for taking those subsidies. But again, it’s because of subsidies that they’re so huge.

Another point. These diesel locomotives that are moving vast amounts of goods on our railroads. What’s the EV solution for them? There isn’t one. And let’s just say they make it so unprofitable to produce petroleum fuels; many manufactures will go out of business. Any remaining ones get to set their price which means diesel will be through the roof. Cost to ship goods follows.
