Exemption

Just for the info i talked to an instuctor and he said that the only people COMPLETELY exempt from the course are:
1,2,3,4,7 from the list above

5 and 6 on the list above are only exempt from the Range portion if they have had previous firearms training(Military Law Enforement).

Just thought i would put it out there incase anyone else was wondering

Your source needs to read the SDA pamphlet a little bit further. Just below the paragraphs you quoted is this:

Provided, however, persons applying for an exemption pursuant to paragraph 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 of this subsection may be required to successfully complete the classroom portion of the training course. The classroom portion of the training course shall not exceed a fee of Thirty Dollars ($30.00).

I think you may want to re read that - the key words are

may be required to successfully complete the classroom portion of the training course.

that does not say they have to. It says they may be required to. It doesn't specify and leaves that aspect open.
