I think the seller is trying to imply a rare configuration, fitted with an L cylinder. Also not saying but implying the cylinder might be from/for an L frame gun.

The configuration is not common, but not rare either. Been a while since I worked with Smiths, but dimensionally I think, an L frame cylinder would not fit a K frame. The L frame cylinder probably would not fit the K frame cylinder window. If it did the chambers would not align with the bore of the barrel.

I'm thinking also for a L frame cylinder to fit a K frame the chamber would have to be counter bored also.

And of course I am old and relying on memory and could be completely wrong.

I don’t think it’s worth that much but that configuration was doing a little less that 1k a few years ago if it was in that condition.
