I like shooting TiteGroup 4.6 gr IIRC, but I'd have to look at my book to be sure and 230gr RN from J&K or 230gr RN from Berry's.

A lot of shooters use W-231 with lead bullets in 45 ACP. However, I prefer the faster cleaner burning powders such as American Select or WST.

I agree there are cleaner burners. I just have so much of the 231 I need to find ways to use it up. Putting it in .38sp, .44sp and .41 mag light loads already but at roughtly 5 grains a pop.....this stuff is going to go a LONG way. The boy likes shooting the .45 acp so.....I get to clean the gun a little more.
