I'm no precision shooter, mainly buy cheaper .22lr to just plink around the 10-100 yard range. I would like to build a inventory of decent ammo that holds well under shelf life.
Academy - Federal Black box .22lr in 1100 round box's for $59.99 compared to $99.99. $49.99 w/ rebate if 2 or more box's are purchased.
Walmart - Winchester M22 in 1000 round for $67. Normal pricing I believe.
What is "normal/basic" .22lr ammo pricing?
My main question being, is all .22 ammo basically the same powder wise? Obviously there are different variations of the projectiles themselves but when looking at the aspect of stocking up should one look for a certain ammo containing a certain powder etc?
In your opinion, are these ammo worthy of purchase? Thank you OSA members for any knowledge or input!
