Glock dovetail red dot mount

I have a G34 I want to put a red dot on, but I'm not really wanting to mill the slide. Has anyone here used a rear sight dovetail plate with any success?

I’ve considered trying one out myself, I’ve never used a red dot on a handgun and wanna try it out before sending my 19x out to get milled. I think @JEVapa mentioned something about them a while back?

I have a couple of these and really like them. The separate screw in dovetail mount moves around too much and never settles.

I’ve had a red dot mount that goes in the rear sight dovetail since before red dots on pistols were cool, and it works great.
