The GOP has some great competition that could have a chance in 2012 against Obama. The problem is, none of the people who can win a general election will have the opportunity to get to a general election because the Republican party is controlled by right wing radicals the same way the Democratic party is controlled by left wing radicals.
I like Ron Paul but he has zero chance to win a general election. CPAC is a worthless waste of resources and energy. They might as well just throw their vote to Obama and be done with it. I guarantee the Obama camp is laughing their butts off at what came out of CPAC last week, because it consumes and wastes conservative momentum.
