Congrats ! The lifespan can vary depending on whose shotgun they pass by. Some of those wild ducks that live on a residential community pond might die of heart failure due to diet of dogfood popcorn and bread but if old age is the cause of death I wouldn't be surprised to see one live 10 years. If you think about it, they float so joints dont get stressed like old people joints. If they fall they won't break a hip. If they stay in the water they won't likely have a vehicle collision. Ok sorry bout the humor.
