I hit gun shops all the time and have been for 30 years.

I have never bought a thing from

Village Tactical
Gun World
Gunworx
Henry's or 66 Guns
Kings Pawn
Outdoor America during their last two years

I have bought components a couple of times and a nice savage 110, .308 in a mdt chassis from village tactical. They have been solid for me the few times I have used them.

Outdoor America was awesome, until it wasn’t. The change was rapid and almost immediate.
I drove on MacArthur last week and it looked like the building was in a fire. At least I think it was the right building, I didn't turn around and go look again.

I keep hearing about the shop in Minco. Any reviews?
It’s a good shop run by good people. It is heavy on tactical type weapons, modern handguns and modern shotguns. They have good prices from what I have seen and they are open to offers. If you are looking for old lever rifles, Smiths or pre-64 Winchesters, that’s not the shop for you. Not saying you won’t find something like that there on occasion, but that is not their focus.

Fred Baker, the owner, passed away. I had met him on a couple of occasions. He loved Firearms, Hunting and Drag Racing. I don't think he had a transition plan in place when he passed.
