Back in the day, could only afford 1 or 2 guns at a time, so traded quite a bit. Things changed, so nothing leaves now. But, to just name a few: Brand new Colt Ace, S&W 4" mdl. 24, S&W mdl. 29 6 1/2 in. pinned and recessed, Colt Python 6", and plenty of others. Such a shame, but live and learn.

Oh, and a Colt SAA 5 1/2 in. 44 special., and 3" S&W mdl. 24 44 special! Okay, I'm gonna quit thinking about it now!

Sold my very first 1911 way back in the 90's. It was a dual-tone Springfield commander size. Loved that gun. Was stupid for selling it. I think I paid $300 for it. Sold it for $200.

I was a stupid kid.

The one I regret, I didn't even sell. My soon to be X-wife got her hands on some of my gun's before my dad could stop her. The one that hurt was a Beretta European 686 S.S. 20Ga. I purchased this while stationed in Germany, and it was a model not offered for sale in the USA. Stainless steel receiver with heavy engraving 22" barrels, high figured wood, 18k gold plated double trigger's, deep blued barrel's, and 1/3 engraved, all contained in a fitted wooden case. She hocked it in 1985 right after I arrived back in Germany for my 3rd tour, and awaiting to get quarter's for us, was when she decided to leave me, and sell off almost my entire collection.

Yes I still miss that shotgun, and still to this day search high and low for her.

Out of sheer boredom one day I tossed out a lowball bid at Gunbroker,,,
Imagine my surprise when a week later I found out I won.

aarondgraham.com_pics_leathersmith.jpg

Total cost after shipping and transfer was $325.00,,,
For a pristine 3" Model 36 Ladysmith.

I made the mistake of showing it to a lady who I work with,,,
She fell in love with it and begged me to sell it to her,,,
I asked for $400.00 and she wrote me a check.

Man but I wish I hadn't sold it to her,,,
The only good thing was that she shoots it regularly.

It is now her full time carry pistol,,,
She sold the Taurus she had.

So It all turned out well,,,
But I feel regret every time I see her with it.

I've bought, sold, traded, and even given away a few firearms over the years, and the only ones I regret relinquishing are:
Colt Delta Elite Stainless
Colt 1991 Officer's Model
HK P7K3 in .32ACP

There wasn't anything special about the 1991, I just shot it well.

Nothing special about the HK P7K3 either--except that they fetch four figures these days....
