I guess I'm behind the curve. Someplace the fire dept is just letting them burn. No toxic waste into the water supply. Just toxic waste going airborne. Much better to breathe it than to drink it.
Some FDs let them burn but others do put them out. How many ICE engines would it take to equal the smoke that goes into the air?
