The 10mm model pictured on the S&W web site has no thumb safety but has the plugs in the frame.

Edit to add: This thread made my curiosity bone stick out so I had to look. I have a 3.6" 2.0 Compact 9mm and a 4.6" 2.0 in .45, both purchased without thumb safeties, that have plugs in the frame.

I miss my 3.6 M&P 9. Try Galco or Desantis for a holster. They're mass produced, but good quality leather.
