Revolver fun

I've had some fun shooting my 340 M&P lately so began a search for another revolver. It didn't take long to find a brand new Ruger SP101 and I got a great deal on it from a shop locally where I have been a long time customer. So today, I had a telephone visit with Marc Morganti of Gemini Customs about some basic cleanup work on the revolver. In a few weeks I should have it back. When it gets here I'll do a before and after. Here's the gun unfired.

The SP101 is a nice, solid revolver. I've had several over the years. I imagine it'll come out pretty nice.

I happened into a Kimber K6s DASA a bit ago. It strikes me as a refined SP101 more than anything else.

I have 2-101s 327mag and 38 sp. Had trigger kits put in both of them. Best money I’ve spent in a while. Both are a pleasure to shoot.

The only upgrade I’ve done to my 101 so far is Trausch grips, and I highly recommend them if you can find them.
