I know there are tons of places out there. I have searched endlessly on Google and found a few that looked promising, but not found exactly what I want.

Here is what I am looking for. A black barrel, preferably nitrided/Melonite or something similar, with silver diamond fluting and a threaded end - not target crowned - in 16" or 18". No 1:9, I want 1:7 or 1:8 twist rate. Preferably mid-length or rifle-length gas system, but this is not a necessity.

Here is one similar, but is target crowned.

Prefer it not be a bull barrel, although I can live with that. I want the black with stainless flutes. I can find tons of them in spiral configuration, and I am going to do one of those, as well. Also tons of all-black diamond-fluted barrels, but not what I want with the diamond stainless flutes on a black barrel with a threaded end.

Like I said, I've been looking around the last few days and it is difficult to find one in stock anywhere.

I should say, I'm open to other off-the-wall fluting options, but I like the black and silver look.

Lots of barrels that aren't black available, if you can't find it you might need to cerakote it to get what you're looking for...

Yeah, I've talked to my Cerakote guy and he is willing. Just that it is a lot of taping and such, and will significantly add to the cost of the barrel. In addition, he is shutting down his shop while he builds a house. So, I am looking for a relatively economical option that is retail at the moment.

Buy the 16" and thread it.

Again... looking to avoid sending off for customization. I'd like to buy one that is ready to go. If I can't, I can't, it's not going to kill me. Just a matter of convenience and cost.

Oh, shoulda mentioned, it needs to be 5.56 or Wylde.

Wilson has some that are very close to what you want, and may make you one just like you want.

Yeah I checked their site, as I've got one of their 24" bull barrels, but everything they show is all stainless. :(
