Larry Elder gives a good presentation about the philosophies of JFK and presents a good argument that if he were alive today, he would be a Republican.

I'll add my own two cents, which has been stated here before: Kennedy was the last Democrat president that agreed with my political, moral, and fiscal beliefs. After LBJ, I switched my registration from Democrat to Republican.

There's no such thing as professional morals. Ethics yes but not morals. Morality is what it is ethics are another matter entirely and while they can align with morality they don't always do so

Before my time but a lot of diehard Democrats still think it's the same party. Nothing will change their mind and they will vote democrat till the day they die.
