So... we're probably going to move closer to OKC in the next 12-18 months. We don't want to be in OKC - just closer.
Considering that we have a relatively large amount of time to "shop", I figure we can score a good deal some where if we just pay close attention.
Problem is, I don't know the best places to look. I figure some folks here do.
Here's what we're looking for:
4 bedroom (or 3 with logical means of possible future addition)
10+ acres (preferably at least half wooded, and preferably more)
preferably outside of city limits
west of OKC
2 car garage preferred, but not necessary
preferably at least one reasonable outbuilding
non-satellite broadband internet access available (directional 802.11, Motorola Canopy, or similar will do just fine)
NO HOA
sub-$185K (fixer-uppers and incompletes are acceptable)
Foreclosures? Sheriff sales? Tax sales? What are some good resources? I've been looking through ReMax and found some good fits, but not quite ready to buy and my gut says something more perfect might be found later.
