Boy what some people complain about. The politics section is hidden because some were complaining about political posts. They made it so those that wanted to talk politics could if they decided to do so by opting in to a section that is otherwise hidden. It's as simple as that, quit complaining, the owners and mods are doing the best they can to please everyone which everyone knows is impossible. Grow up and quit fretting about the small stuff, life's way too short.

It is wise to save your energy for the right battles. You really have to maintain peace a good portion of the time to be productive.
