How useful are form-fitteded AR bolt carrier scrapers?

Or any number of others made by whoever - do they work better than doing it the hard way? I've learned that when I actually shoot my ARs (a lot), that the cleaning process sucks (and its often) - anyone used one of these and know if it works at all?

Really? I've got a ton of build-up - I guess I thought that it would affect how the bolt and carrier seated... Hmm - I guess I don't need to worry about it at all.

you can scrape if you want, but there is no need to go overboard.

I use an M249/SAW tool, works great, and can get into the smaller areas easier. Don't know about LaRue's.
