I took my new-to-me FEG P9M (the Hungarian Hi Power) out today for a shoot-off with my P2000. The Hungarian Hi Power was consistently more accurate than the HK, probably because its sweet single-action trigger pull is easier to manage than the HK's vaunted LEM trigger. I might consider changing carry guns IF I can make the P9M run as reliably as the HK does. I will change the recoil spring and the extractor spring in the near future to see if I can cure the reliability woes and go from there.
Well dang, one of my mags wont hold slide open anymore. Its a MecGar mag and has been flawless up to this point.
I wonder if they'll send me a new spring?
I changed the recoil spring, the trigger return spring, and the extractor spring in my Hungarian Hi Power a couple of days ago. Today it was flawless thru approx. 200 rounds of ball ammo. And quite accurate as well. I need to fire a few hundred more rounds thru it before I trust it completely, but it has the makings of a fine carry gun.
