Hah I was going to say, let me see him try that with some fresh cut oak or hackberry. I've had splitting maul just bounce off some of the fresh cut hardwood around here. BTW BB if you burn much wood buy GC a real log gas powered log splitter and he will than you for years to come Best purchase I ever made.

Fresh cut = NO
good seasoned oak splits much better.
