I'm taking a young lady to H&H to look at handguns his weekend.

You are absolutely correct,,,
And I intend to remedy that lapse.

It's just that we've only been shooting one time,,,
I haven't introduced her to revolvers yet.

I have several J-frame and K-frame revolvers,,,
So we will have a nice selection to try.

Aarond

.

Try her out on the K frame. Jaybirds aren't for beginners especially the airweights. They're downright ornery.

Hello Hoov,,,
I won't let her buy junk.

But we disagree on one brand,,,
I have three Bersa pistols and like them all.

My Thunder 22 is three years old,,,
It has one of the highest round counts of all my guns.
And so far it's also been one of the best performers of my rimfires.

My Thunder 380 is the same age,,,
While it doesn't have the same round count,,,
It's been a flawless performer and is easy to hit with.

The Thunder 9 UC Pro is brand new,,,
I only have 250 rounds through it so far,,,
So I can't give it a raving revue because it's new.

She has fired all three of the Bersa pistols and likes them,,,
But I have told her that they are not the be-all and end-all of handguns.

BTW,,,
We had to postpone the trip,,,
We'll try to get down there next weekend.

You own 3 Bersa pistols but won't let her buy "junk"....

Does H&H even sell anything Junkier than Bersa?

So if there is no double standard on what you'll buy to what you'll allow her to buy, define "junk".

Honestly, I have no idea what you are referring to with this,,,
Where did the term double-standard come from,,,
I sure never wrote it in any of my posts.

On what are you basing your opinion,,,
Do you have any experience with Bersa pistols,,,
What about them makes you think that Bersa pistols are junk.

I have two that I've owned for about 3 years now,,,
They have been great performers for me.

The Thunder 22 is extremely reliable with bulk ammo,,,
The Thunder 380 has fed, fired, and ejected perfectly with JHP and HP.

They are the guns I start newbies on,,,
For the reason that they are not junk pistols,,,
They shoot every time and are very accurate to boot.

Two people I have started with Bersa pistols have bought their own,,,
One young lady shoots 2-3 times a week for over a year,,,
Her Thunder 22 just keeps on feeding and ejecting.

The other young man doesn't shoot as often,,,
But when we go to the range about once a month,,,
His Thunder Concealed Carry .380 will eat 100 rounds without a hitch

I haven't had my third Bersa pistol long enough to properly evaluate it,,,
But so far it's fed, fired, and ejected 250 rounds of Tulammo and Federal JHP.

I have no problem recommending Bersa pistols,,,
My liking of the brand comes from favorable first-hand experience.

Where does your animosity come from?

No animosity, just found it ironic that you were staying away from "JUNK" but your standard is Bersa.

My grandpa had a .22 RG revolver that went "BOOM" everytime but that doesn't mean it wasn't a big piece of crap.

But again I ask,,,
What makes you think Bersa pistols are junk?

I do own an RG that I bought back in the very early 60's,,,
www.aarondgraham.com_pics_sns_l.jpg

Now this pistol is definitely junk by any standard,,,
But in no way compares to any of my Bersas,,,
They have a very clean fit and finish,,,
And seem to last under lots of use.

Aarond

Or are you just trolling me?
