Both need better leadership. Neither LaPierre of the NRA nor Pratt of GOA are the appropriate face for convincing non-gun owners why protecting the 2nd Ammendnent is important to them. LaPierre and Pratt are great at preaching to the choir about gun rights, but we need someone that can preach to non-gun owners.
