1000 grit is fine enough, no need to go to 2K I like to use a flat sheet of granet or good dense particle board if nothing else is available.

Keep it up Grasshopper, you will evolve.

No sanding on that one, it was pretty flat to begin with since it was a new pistol. Just buffing.

I need to get a nice flat piece of granite though.

The grips are the original ones that came with the gun, though I did refinish the wood inserts.

Recent change: a set of Hogue grips I got at the Wanenmacher show in Tulsa recently...
I like the Hogues a lot since the recoil energy is spread out over a larger area and is more comfortable. (They look sharp too!...)
