Here, but occasionally There.
Yes. You are absolutely free to not agree with methods some people employ for a cause. My main point is that to support Black Lives Matter does not make you militant just because some are.

At the core Black Lives Matter is about equality and about taking a look at why a certain segment of the population is disproportionately targeted by police. I support that.

However, that statement about BLM isn't correct. If you look at the true statistics and not listen to the media and Farcebook posts, you'll find that "disproportionately targeted by police" comment is wrong. And, BLM is a socialist group, perhaps even outright communist and equality is the last thing they want. They seem to want more and more, based on what we are seeing with their protests. I remember seeing a clip of them marching somewhere, crying out, "Pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon."

I stand against:
racism
police brutality
BLM

I stand for:
equality
police

My color doesn't make me racist
I'm not responsible for what people of my race have done in the past
I try to see people as individuals, not agents of a population group, race, or organization. This doesn't mean I am naive or blind to the threats some people pose.

You need another news source and do not believe everything CNN, MSNBC, and FOX, tells you. Your statement "disproportionately targeted by police" according to statistics has been disproven over and over. In fact the BLM movement was founded upon the "hands up don't shoot" lie. Tearing down statues, looting, arson, and defacing public property, along with taking over cities sounds militant to me.

Just because the powers that be are not prosecuting their actions and cowering to their demands does not make it ok to most people. These governors and mayors are just following their socialistic tendencies letting the "protesters" do their dirty work.

There have been injustices and when you or someone close has suffered an injustice, human emotion tends to take over and resentment can build. Emotion trumps statistics.

That is exactly the point I'm making. Common sense it seems has no weight in the emotional arena. If you feel bad about something and act out criminally you should be held accountable for your actions. But if you have a reason that is accepted as an injustice even if it never happened, you can get away with it, start a movement, gain backers, and apologists and it is all still baseless.

This nation needs a moral leader (and I don't mean religious) that can articulate the nuances of what is going on.
The problem is that the mindless mob would find it hard to listen.

There are black youtubers who do a great job of explaining what is going on, and how BLM is using blacks, how the fake racist outrage and hoaxes are not helping, and yet that there are abuses by police that need to be addressed. Explaining how the BLM victim message, that all problems come from white supremacy and systemic racism, ignore the personal power that black people have to improve their personal situations.

I get how resentment can build in a community that feels, and sometimes actually is, targeted and harassed by police.

Social media and the MSM have reduced these issues to soundbites and trash talking contests. Nuance is lost and people don't want to spend the mental energy to think long enough to understand.

I'm waxing philosophical today, and no I'm not smoking pot, or drinking.

It was stated today on a talk show that the real movement is going to have to come from the black community where they finally rise up with the numbers and clout necessary to say enough is enough.
