Just out of curiosity what is the lightest bullet you bullet you have shot deer with effectively/humanly? What caliber were you using?
The lightest I’ve killed a deer with is a 100 grain out of a 243, but my boys used a 223 when they first started with 64 grain Power Points. My brother has killed most of his deer with 55 grain bullets out of a 22-250.
just kidding the lightest would have to be some 90 grain reloads my stepdad made when I was a kid out of a 243

55gr SP/HP .223 - 3200 fps

Man a 55 gr pill from a 220 Swift or 22-250 would be a blast!
Seems like the 100 gr in 243/6mm is pretty popular for light bullets.
