Got a nice one but light strikes most of the time. I expect its the firing pin and spring but Im not at all mechanically minded and tend to lose or **** up small parts. A buddy recommended some ether in the firing pin hole to clean out any gunk, so Ill try that, then oil it,

Could use good recommendations just in case.

If you are getting hammer strikes too light to set off the primer, its your mainspring. Someone probably cut it too short in order to do a "trigger job". It's an easy fix. Look up 1911 trigger jobs on You Tube. No need to pay a gunsmith to change out a mainspring.
