How is this covering for the shooter? It’s simply sharing a thought that the corrupt government helped this guy do this. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit. Some of y’all get triggered way too easily. When you think you shouldn't type something...you shouldn't. Starting a conspiracy theory out of thin air about a mass shooting to cover for a man who was so full of hate that he ended the lives of so many...
So it’s a strong argument to strip someone’s constitutional rights away? I don’t think so. No law would have stopped this. New York has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation. How do you think another law would have worked? All the “laws” we have are unconstitutional and do nothing to stop criminals. They only affect those of us that try and follow the law. Seems to me that some of y’all just want to use emotions when things like this happen. Infringing further in our freedoms is not the answer. This is a strong argument for “red flag” type actions. Unfortunately, nothing, of any type of action, was taken, and ten lives were lost.
What is your point with this? We all know there are white supremacist’s in this country. Does it really matter why this guy did what he did? I think not. I don’t care why he did it. He deserves to be put to death for it if he is convicted. I reserve saying too much because the only information we have has came from the MSM who just so happens to have a major agenda to tear this nation apart by any means necessary.https://www.adl.org/resources/backgrounders/the-great-replacement-an-explainer
Use By Individual Extremists
- In October 2018, white supremacist Robert Bowers killed 11 people at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA, after writing a Gab post blaming Jews for bringing non-white immigrants and refugees to the U.S.
- In March 2019, white supremacist Brenton Tarrant livestreamed himself killing 51 people at two mosques in New Zealand. Tarrant also released a manifesto online called “The Great Replacement,” an homage to Camus’ work.
- In April 2019, white supremacist John Earnest killed one and injured three at a synagogue in Poway, CA. In a letter he released online, Earnest claimed that Jews were responsible for the genocide of “white Europeans,” and cited the influence of Bowers and Tarrant.
- In August 2019, white supremacist Patrick Crusius opened fire at a Walmart in El Paso, TX, killing 23 people and wounding almost two dozen. In a manifesto, Crusius talked about a “Hispanic invasion” and made reference to the great replacement.
I disagree. There were actions available in this case. He was a know potential threat. While giving room for additional information, it doesn't appear any actions were taken beyond a mental eval. If the mental eval cleared him, then there was no basis to red flag him. This is a strong argument for “red flag” type actions. This case supports the hypothesis that RF laws are ineffective. That's actually a good thing for the anti-2nd Amendment crowd, because now they can cry for "more". But what do they want? More ineffective laws. If a law is effective at reducing violent crimes where a gun was the tool (like 5 years mandatory in Club Fed for AFCF), that's bad for them. Those are the laws they don't enforce. If they did, then they couldn't cry for "more".
Reducing violence was never the goal. The goal was always more control over We The People. Never lose sight of that.
