Yep! That's the way M1's shoot when they wear a barrel that's not worn out. I didn't check your load in any of my loading books, just make sure you keep your reloads at around 2700fps, wouldn't want to bend that op rod. I believe the average velocity of Ball M2 is 2740fps, and that is what your Garand was built to digest. Try some IMR4064 sometime, thats the propellant of choice for my M1's.
