This man is a friend of my platoon's corpsman. His story is unfortunately one of many.

I know 2 triple amputees from my last deployment, one of which is a very close friend. Their recoveries have been amazing, but thankfully they have an incredible amount of support from their family, friends, and good-hearted American people and organizations. The importance of taking care of these heroes CAN NOT be overstated.
