Another vote for the 10/22

But really any 22 rifle would be next for that list. we have a couple of Mossberg Plinkster 702's that are a hoot to shoot, but there isn't the massive extra/upgrade market that there is for the 10/22. If you like to tinker, accessorize or otherwise toy with your guns (and who doesn't really) the 10/22 would be the answer.

Our plinksters are crazy accurate and super reliable. I will give them that. And you can find them for 100 bucks or so.

I have both a 10/22 and a M&P 15/22. The 10/22 never gets shot. The 15/22 comes to the range every time. YMMV.

Another 10/22 vote. Get one and get a cheap scope or red dot and plink away. The smith 15/22 is a great gun, but almost double the cost of a 10/22.
