Everyone beats the heck out of their crescent wrenches, hammer attachment or not, so I think it's a great idea.

If I wack something with a crescent wrench I use the handle end. Lol

It is a new style craftsman ratchet with a green and black rubber handle.
He cut it off the handle and the hammer head was a stanley 1/2 size claw hammer.
He cut the head off of it.

Pretty sweet and feels darn nice in the hand.
Can't wait to wrench with it.
