New 12ga semi...What to buy?

I have the Benelli M-1014 which is gas operated. It shoots like a.22 compared to my 870 match gun.

Shot skeet for lots of years. Never heard till now of taking a bead off for training purposes. Shotguns are different from rifles to shoot. Gotta keep both eyes open, and slap the trigger rather than a slow squeze. Really it's just a fast squeeze, and gotta keep the gun moving. Stop, and miss.

Best all round auto I have seen is the Winchester Super X 1. Heavy, expensive, but durable. Remington 1100 or 1187 are good modern guns, 1100 for skeet only, 1187 for all around use. CB

Well thanks for the input...guess I will have to report out on the new Benelli Cordoba....real soon...its in the box ready to be broke in.

I shoot a Cordoba and really like it but remember it is chambered for 3" max not 3 1/2" if this make a difference to you. I shoot skeet with mine so don't need heavy loads.

I have the cordoba and use it for skeet, great gun. Doesn't shoot 3 1/2" but this didn't matter to me since I wanted it to cycle light loads.

I have a sbe II and love it.....But, if I could do it over again, I would get an M2 or a Cordoba. I was convinced that I had to shoot 3 1/2 inch shells. I am now convinced that if you miss with a 3 inch mag, its because you need more practice.
