I took my little Sis in law to the rang for her first time. She is 16 an was super excited to go. I started her out with a star 25 auto, then we rented a walther pk380, them she shot my karh k9. She did great followed instruction well and maintained all safety rules. She was a good shot too!! Would want to be on the receiving end for sure. Hit center mass with every shot. One big ragged hole when she got done. Then I dropped in my .22 lr conversion for the AR and let her have some fun with that.....SHE LOVED IT!!! After about 50 or so rounds I swapped it back to .223 and she shot about 40 rounds and never showed sign of to much to shoot. Never flinched and again just tore one big hole in the paper. We went back to .22lr in it and she rapid fired about 100 rounds through it and ended the day. She said the rifle was her favorite and even asked when we left how old you had to be to get a carry license!! Think I am gonna have to buy her her very own pistol now...she was eye balling a pink Taurus .380 that she really liked at heartland. Had a blast and enjoyed watching a newbie light up with excitement and really enjoy herself.
Also glad to be able to do stuff with such a great kid that would otherwise miss out since her father passed away about 2 1/2 years ago.....she is like a daughter to me and I really cherish spending time with her like that.
