As they implement more and more technology into a vehicle, there becomes more and more things prone to fail!

I want simple and reliable, with the least maintenance and parts replacements over the life of the vehicle!

I dont fly fighter jets, and I do not want the cab of a pickup truck to resemble one.

No touch screens, no satellite or cellular link, no backup cameras, no def tanks, no diesel particulate filters, no independendent front suspensions, no coil springs on a 4x4's!!

It really would not hurt my feelings to give up the computer engine control either!

Black is just fine with me! Is there really any other color that looks as good as black?

Ya'll can have allllll the simple cars you want. When it's 105 out and I've got an air conditioner in the seat of my truck to keep my butt nice and cool I'm a happy camper. When it's below freezing and my butt is toasty warm, that's nice too. Hard to ever go downward from that.

Toyota does offer Barcelona Red Metallic and that's as flashy as new Toyo colors get. The Big Three do occasionally offer exciting colors on certain special-edition vehicles as bright yellow, fire engine red, comp orange and plum crazy purple. I would take a plain white Toyota over all those for build-quality and longevity. Here's a new Tacoma in that Barcelona Red Metallic shade of stock paint. Nothing like the bright red of Corvettes of old. Toyota trucks are built on American soil. Big Three might be built in Canada or Mexico. The 21st century corporate global culture and world socialist elite governments have conspired against old-fashioned fun. They want formal bureaucratic dull colors put on customers. The world elites frown upon FUN as it flies in the face of authority. Back in the 1950's and into the 1980's there was a whole treasure trove of fun-looking vehicles in a rainbow of stock paints and they were simple and reasonably priced. The round lights of cute old sporty cars like the 1970's Chevy Vega looked innocent, bright-eyed and smiley. The squinty headlights and sharp-crease lines on the '21 Toyota truck below look like a mean monster from "Planet Zorx" about to eat you alive.

Here was an exciting yellow originally offered on new 1980 Toyota trucks, this innocent-looking old '80 Toyota 4x4 truck is sunny and smiley and looks like she wants to lick your face like a sweet Golden retriever:

Drove the old 58 flatbed farm truck to town today just to blow the rat nests out of it. I hit a bump and I saw a chunk of rotten wood fall out of the bed of it. I just kept right on drivin like Sgt. Schultz. "I See NothinK".

Factory air conditioning has been offered in new vehicles since the 1950's. There was no geek-junk on the dashes in the 1950's and even into the 1980's still. Cloth interior does me fine to keep my butt comfy in all weather.

White is plain but it's the coolest color for hot days. Black will absorb sun heat like a sponge.

Pretty happy with our old Rav4. Needs a little work but has been very dependable so far. 1999 if I remember correctly, and I may not.

You knock yourself out ---- I'll take my regular AC/heater and butt AC/heater any time.
